Smolnik

Description of mountain:
Smolnik is a steep 1075 meters high peak - a lonely mountain below the mountain hut Valvasorjev dom, which is rising above the valley Zavrh (Završnica), with a view on Stol, Jelovica and Ljubljana Basin. On the top there are two benches for meditating and enjoying the view. This eastern neighbor of a better known and a little lower mountain Ajdna, - "stone gem", as some people like to call it, is an intermediate destination to a lot of hikers, who are going towards the mountain hut Valvasorjev dom from Poljane in Završnica, mainly because of the view, which they can't get in nearby surrounding. And many people choose it as the final destination of the tour.
