Restaurant Sonnalpin is situated by the ski slope Zugspitze on a plateau »Auf dem Platt«. From the restaurant is a very nice view towards the peaks above the mentioned plateau, very nicely is also visible nearby Zugspitze. At the restaurant is usually quite crowded, because to there runs a cable car from the peak Zugspitze and also the train from the settlement Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Near is also the highest situated chapel in Germany.
