Description of mountain:
Stara sveta gora, or locally "Stare gore nad Podsredo", is a hill northeast of Podsreda on the southern slopes of the hills separating the valleys of Bistrica and Sotla. The main feature slightly below the summit is the church of the Sorrowful Mary, or officially the Church of the Mother of God of the Seven Sorrows. The original church certainly stood in the 14th century, while the present one dates from the early 15th century. Slightly lower stands the chapel of St. Mohor and Fortunat, also from the 15th century, which today serves as the last, 14th station of the Way of the Cross from the valley. Older is the chapel of St. Ana just above the church, most likely built in the 14th century.
On the slope of the hill is also part of the dispersed settlement Gradišče. From the summit there are views of Podsreda, Podsreda Castle, and the Bistrica valley north of Podsreda. The summit can be reached on foot via the exceptionally scenic Way of the Cross or by car from the same starting point along the road.
