Sveta Lucija above Studenice

Description of church:
On a hill on the left bank of the Dravinja above Studenice stands the church of St. Lucija. The surroundings, mainly the eastern part, are surrounded by vineyards of Dravinjske Gorice. St. Lucija is the patron saint of sight and according to legend the church was built by Dominican sisters from the nearby monastery in thanks because one of the sisters regained her sight after losing it. Today it is a subsidiary church of the Studenice parish and there is also a cemetery within the walls. The church has rich Baroque-style interior furnishings. There is a nice view of the nearby surroundings and especially the nearby higher Boč.
