Hlipovec - Koča na Travniku

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Maribor we go to the exit Šentrupert and we follow the road ahead towards the valley Logarska dolina. In the village Ljubno ob Savinji signpost for Smrekovec points us right. The road then runs through the center of the village, where we turn left again following the signs for Smrekovec. The road then brings us in Ljubenske Rastke, where at the crossroad near the church we continue left. An ascending road higher brings us to the hamlet of individual farms, and we follow it in the direction of partisan hospital and Komen (on signposts Kamen). The road which meanwhile already became macadam, higher brings us to a crossroad, where for traffic closed road branches off sharply to the right, which runs on a saddle Hlipovec. We park on an appropriate place near the crossroad.

Path description:
Only a little above the crossroad we notice hiking signposts, which point us to the left in the direction of the mountain hut Koča na Travniku. The path immediately goes into the forest, where it starts relatively steeply ascending. Higher, the steepness decreases and from the right joins the path from the saddle Hlipovec.
We continue left on a pleasant forest path, which is further only slightly ascending. A little further, the path brings us to the next crossing, where we continue left (right Veliki Travnik or Turnovka) on a path, which crosses slopes of Veliki Travnik. Still a wide transverse path, soon comes out of the forest on an ample mountain pasture Široka trata, where there is the next crossing.
We continue left downwards (right peak Veliki Travnik) on a pleasant path, which in 2 minutes of additional walking brings us to the mountain hut Koča na Travniku.
