Pregrada - Bukovski vrh (Kuna gora)

Access to starting point:
A) To Croatia we drive over the border crossing Rogatec/Hum na Sutli. From the border we go right and after fifteen minutes of driving, we are in the settlement Pregrada. Here we will turn on the first street right (street Prilaz Matice Hrvatske), and then once again right and we will park on a large parking lot at the church.
B) If we come to Croatia through the border crossing Gruškovje/Macelj we go on a highway Macelj-Zagreb to the exit Đurmanec, and from there in the direction of Hum na Sutli and then the same as the upper description.

Path description:
From the parking lot at the church, we go slightly upwards to the north. We get help from hiking signposts. After a minute, we leave the asphalt and we go on a narrower path between the fences, which quickly brings us into the forest.
In the forest, we will start relatively steeply ascending. The grounding will be occasionally rocky. The path brings us to a crossing, where we go right. On this part, there is a little more demanding ascent over the rocks, which brings us on exposed part. After the exposed part, there is the next crossing, where straight goes a very steep unofficial shortcut, and we go right and after few minutes of ascent we get to a turn, where the path will turn sharply to the left to the west. The steepness will gradually decrease, and at the next turn, we join the steep shortcut and after a minute we come out of the forest in front of the mountain hut. A characteristic for this part of the path are crosses by the path.
The mountain hut is open on weekends, but it isn't supplied. From the mountain hut is an outstanding view on settlement Pregrada and forward towards the south.
From the mountain hut, we go ahead towards the north on a gently sloping asphalt road which eventually starts descending. When it descends on a saddle, we will leave it and we will go right on a forest cart track (ahead on the asphalt - Vina gora and Veliki Tabor).
The cart track starts quickly ascending and at the turn turns to the north. The ascent is steep, in the last part, we will have problems also with a demanding rocky and muddy grounding dangerous for slipping. The cart track then flattens, but usually it is quite muddy. After a shorter time, the cart track brings us to the hunting observatory, where we leave it and we go left to the west.
The path through the forest brings us to the next crossing, where to the right goes the path towards the ruins of the castle Kostel, and we will go ahead. We get to a lane of pine forest, and behind it also to a smaller cottage of mushroom society. Here we can take a rest or shelter if it is raining. At the cottage there is another crossing, where straight goes the path ahead on Vina gora and Veliki Tabor, and we go right and after a minute we are on Bukovski vrh, the highest summit of Kuna gora. The peak is in the forest and it doesn't have any view, there is only a stamp and inscription book.
