Gamsspitzl

Description of mountain:
Gamsspitzl is less distinct three-thousander, which is situated on a long ridge which is from the upper spaces of Wilder Freiger spreading towards the north. Because of an easy access - from the path which leads on famous Wilder Freiger, to the top there is only about 20 minutes of not very difficult ascent on gravel terrain - it is relatively well visited, and to the top most often go mountaineers who continue towards Wilder Freiger or towards the mountain cottages above the glacier Übeltalferner.
Unlike most of the paths which lead on peaks in the mountain range Hochstubai, the path on Gamsspitzl is entirely marked, and the peak offers an easy opportunity for the ascent above 3000 meters in appealing environment of Hochstubai. The highest point, on which there is a stick with small statue of Jesus, offers a nice view towards Wilder Freiger and on continuation of the ridge, which leads to its upper area, and towards the eastern and northern part of the group Hochstubai.
