Dovje - Planina Dovška Rožca (via Blažčeva skala)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave Gorenjska highway at exit Jesenice west (Hrušica), and then we continue driving in the direction of Kranjska Gora. On the main road towards Kranjska Gora we drive to the first turn-off of the road towards Dovje, through the settlement we follow the signs for Dovška Baba. After crossing the stream Mlinca, where there is a small hydropower plant, we park on an appropriate place by the road, where there are also hiking signposts.
B) First, we drive to Kranjska Gora, and then we continue driving towards Jesenice. We leave the main road towards Jesenice, when signs for Dovje point us to the left, through the settlement we follow the signs for Dovška Baba. After crossing the stream Mlinca, where there is a small hydropower plant, we park on an appropriate place by the road, where there are also hiking signposts.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on the macadam road in the direction of Jesenice (left - marked path on Dovška Baba). On the road, we are at first ascending diagonally, and during the ascent occasionally a nice view opens up on Julian Alps. Higher, the road at first turns sharply left and then also right. At the right turn, we leave the road and we continue straight on a cart track which ascends diagonally towards the left, before we reach a small saddle we go from the cart track right on a beaten footpath which then on the left side bypasses a small, partly wooden house. The path ahead continues through the forest, where we go past the feeding site for wild animals, and after crossing of a stream we go slightly left. Further, the footpath for some time flattens, and then through an indistinct small valley we ascend on a small saddle, where there is a crossing of unmarked footpaths.
Left on the ridge continues a footpath which higher brings us on the road which leads towards the mountain pasture Dovška Rožca, straight downwards we descend on the eastern path to the road, and to the right continues a footpath which leads on Blažčeva skala.
We continue right and we quickly ascend to the inscription box, a bench and a cross on Blažčeva skala.
From the top, we descend to a smaller saddle, and then we continue on at first a poorly visible footpath which ascends on the ridge, which quickly widens into a slope. When the footpath passes on a slope, follows crossing towards the right, and on a clearing the footpath widens into a cart track. The cart track higher passes into the forest and joins a worse macadam road, and when we reach a wider road, we follow it to the left. Next follows an ascent on the macadam road which higher leads also past the gate, and then in a diagonal ascent we reach the saddle between Bela peč and Dovška Baba, where also a marked path from the valley joins.
We continue the ascent on the road which already after few steps of additional walking brings us to the spot, where we leave it, because blazes point us to the left on a steep footpath which is further ascending through the forest. The path higher crosses a grazing fence and a short panoramic slope, and then it returns into the forest, where we get to a smaller unmarked crossing. We continue left on a marked path (straight source of a well Starka 1 minute), which again steeply ascends, and then turns a little to the right, where after few minutes of additional walking brings us on the bottom edge of the mountain pasture Dovška Rožca. Here the path turns left and after few minutes of ascent over blooming meadows brings us to shepherd cottages on the mountain pasture Dovška Rožca.
