From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and follow the road towards Bled, Bohinjska Bistrica and later Ribčev Laz. At the crossroad right next to Lake Bohinj we turn left towards the hotel Bellevue, and we follow the road a little less than 100 meters, or to a large marked parking lot. The parking lot is payable, the price is 1€/h (data July 2011).
We can also park on a free parking lot at the beginning of Ribčev Laz, this extends the path for approximately 10 minutes.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the asphalt road in the direction of the hotel Bellevue, from which soon a marked path on Rodica branches off to the left. We continue in the mentioned direction (straight hotel Bellevue and Vogel) and we continue on a worse forest road which soon turns left over a bridge. Just before the road over a bridge crosses a torrent stream, from there to the right (straight) cart track branches off, which continues by the torrent. A gently sloping path then leads us past few cottages, after them crosses the stream, by which we short time continue, and then turns slightly to the left, where we get to the end of the nearby forest road.
From the end of the road, we continue in the direction of the mountain pasture Suha and we start ascending on a steep mountain path. After few minutes, the path flattens and brings us on a ridge covered with a forest, on which we continue to the nearby old cart track. When we step on the cart track, we again start ascending a little steeper, and then the path turns slightly to the right and gradually flattens. Ahead we cross a panoramic slope and through a lane of bushes we return into the forest. Higher, we few times cross different forest roads, or we also walk there for a short time. In the last part of walking on the road we get to a crossroad, where a road towards the mountain pasture Storeča raven branches off to the right, and we continue straight and we follow the road for approximately 50 meters, or to the spot where the road turns to the left and crosses a torrent stream.
From here (area named Javorje) to where it is possible to come also with a car, we continue on a marked mountain path in the direction of the mountain pasture Suha.
The path ahead at first ascends by a torrent, and then turns to the right, where it is for a short time ascending gently through the forest. After few minutes of easy walking path turns left and starts ascending steeply over a steep slope. During the steep ascent for some time a nice view opens up towards the north, and then the path again flattens. Next follows few minutes of gentle walking, and then blazes point us slightly to the left on the path which starts ascending a little steeper, and in doing so it crosses slopes towards the right. Higher, we once again cross a torrent, and then by it, we ascend to the bottom edge of the mountain pasture Suha, where we also step out of the forest. From here follows only short moderate ascent and the path brings us on the main part of the mountain pasture, where some shepherd huts are situated.
From the mountain pasture, we continue past a shepherd hut by the deposits of torrential gravel. In parts very poorly visible footpath in the upper part of the mountain pasture turns slightly left. Further, the path that starts turning slightly to the right is much easier to follow. After a short ascent, we bypass the hunting cottage, which we notice on the right side.
The path then starts ascending steeper on a slope, which is partly covered with dwarf pines. This path with increasingly beautiful view, higher brings us to a little bigger cairn, where there is a crossing (straight marked path on a saddle Čez Suho, left unmarked path over Lepo Suho).
We continue left on at first a poorly visible footpath which short time crosses towards the left and then starts moderately ascending on the more and more panoramic slopes. The path ahead ascends diagonally over some smaller valleys, and then passes on steep slopes, which we still cross in the same direction. Slope quickly flattens and the path brings us in smaller, but distinct valley west from Mala Rodica. Further, we are gently ascending on a poorly visible footpath which continues through torrent ditch of the already mentioned small valley. During the ascent through a small valley we can observe ample grassy slopes of Lepa Suha, and the path which this isn't anymore we follow on easier pathless terrain. All the time during the ascent we follow left "branches" of torrent, and steeper "path" brings us on a grassy ridge, where we get very close to a marked path. Here we go left and we continue the ascent on an easy to follow, but unmarked path, on which we ascend on an indistinct saddle between Mala Rodica on the left and Rodica on the right. Here we continue right and after good 5 minutes of additional ascent, that runs on a more and more panoramic ridge we get to the top.
