Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Jezersko, and then we continue driving in the direction of Austria. The road from Jezersko in few hairpin turns ascends to the border crossing Jezerski vrh, and from there in numerous zig-zags starts descending steeper. Lower at settlement Bela / Bad Velach, we come at the marked crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of Belska Kočna / Velacher Kotschna. The road ahead crosses the stream Bela and only few meters ahead brings us to the next crossroad. Here we continue straight on the right road and we continue driving by the already mentioned stream. We follow this road to the settled parking lot by the gate, which is preventing further driving.
Possible is also access over saddle Pavličevo sedlo. In this case, at settlement Bela we continue left. Further, we follow the description above.
Because of construction of new forest road (data from the year 2009) on the mountain pasture Jenkova planina, parking lot by gate can be full of timber, therefore we park already a little lower on an appropriate place by the road.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road, and after 3 minutes of walking, it brings us to a crossing. We continue straight, further on the road in the direction of the valley Logarska dolina (right Goli vrh). We follow a gently sloping road a little less than 20 minutes to the spot, where the marked path branches off to the left upwards. Further, we are ascending on at first a wide path, which through the forest in a moderate ascent brings us to a torrent stream, where the path turns right, crosses the stream and then brings us to a secured part of the path. With the help of steel cables we ascend on a slightly exposed ridge, which is short and snowless undemanding. The path ahead is ascending among the bushes with beautiful views on the surrounding peaks. We notice the most sharp Storžek, to which we are getting closer. Ahead path runs past a pleasant well after which we soon get to an old hunting cottage, which is surrounded by a lush vegetation. The path is then ascending for some time among a bushes and a thin forest, after which we step into the arms of larches. Terrain ahead is becoming more and more rocky and larches are getting replaced by scree, which is because of a shady side quite long under the snow. Over the scree leads us pretty steep and a more panoramic path, which eventually brings us to a saddle Savinjsko sedlo, where there is a crossing. Here we continue right in the direction of the mountain hut Kranjska koča (left downwards Okrešelj, Mrzla gora and Logarska dolina). From the saddle, the path at first slightly ascends to a nice vantage point, after that descends on the scree, which separates saddles Savinjsko sedlo and Jezersko sedlo. We continue on the mentioned scree, which in a gentle ascent after 10 minutes brings us on a saddle Jezersko sedlo, where there is a next crossing.
From the saddle Jezersko sedlo we continue in the direction of the mountain hut Kranjska koča na Ledinah on a path which starts lightly descending. Already after few 10 strides we come to the next crossing, where we go left and we continue the ascent on a moderately steep scree (straight downwards mountain hut Kranjska koča and Jezersko). Only a little further from the left joins the path from the valley Logarska dolina, and we continue past a natural window and we continue the ascent on a marked path, which turns slightly to the right and in ascent crosses steep western slopes. The path then turns to the left and steeply ascends by the steel cable. We soon come on the northern slopes of the mountain and then follows some easy climbing on rugged rocks without fixed safety gear. We again come on the western slopes, where the path again very steeply ascends by the steel cable. From here there is also a very nice view towards the precipitous walls of Skuta. Next follows quite exposed crossing on the west side of the mountain, and then the path again turns to the left and almost vertically ascends by the steel cable. We again come on the northern slopes of the mountain and then follows a shorter ascent by the steel cable to the top of Koroška Rinka.
From Križ or Koroška Rinka we descend on the other side, on a path which steeply descends towards the valley between Kranjska and Koroška Rinka. The path at first runs on a crumbly gully, and then passes on the scree, where we quickly come to a crossing, where we continue right (left Turski žleb and Kamniška Bistrica). The path ahead crosses slopes of Koroška Rinka, and then turns slightly to the left, where it steeply ascends. Next follows a short very steep ascent, and then the path brings us on the main ridge, on which we in few steps ascend to the summit of Kranjska Rinka.
