Bogojina - Sveti Vid (at Bukovniško jezero)

Access to starting point:
From Pomurska highway we go to the exit Gančani and follow the road ahead in the direction of Moravske Toplice. After few kilometers of additional driving the road brings us to a little bigger crossroad in Bogojina. Here we continue straight (left - Moravske Toplice, right - Lendava) and a little narrower road quickly brings us into the center of the village Bogojina. We continue driving through the settlement, and we follow the signs for Plečnik church. Only a little before the mentioned church we will come on a smaller triangle crossroad, where we continue left towards the cemetery (straight Plečnik church). After a short further drive we get to the mentioned cemetery, in front of which we park on a well-settled parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to Plečnik's church, and then we go on the road which leads between the church and catering Gostinstvo Alenka. At few crossroads through the settlement we continue straight, and when the settlement ends we go left. Further, we walk on the road which leads towards the village Bukovnica, and at the marked crossroad, we go right for Trnavski breg, and only few 10 strides ahead blazes point us to the left on an even narrower road, on which we ascend to a lonely homestead, which we bypass on the right side, and above it, we pass into the forest. Through the forest at numerous crossings we follow the blazes, short time we walk by the field, from where a view opens up a little on surroundings. When we leave the forest we reach a driving road which we follow to the right, and it leads through Filovski Breg. In the middle of the settlement, blazes point us to the left on a footpath which leads us among vineyards, and quickly by the second house we reach another road, on which we descend a little. From the road, we soon go sharply to the left on a cart track, and a little lower when we reach a little wider cart track we go once again left.
Signs for Pomurje mountain trail only a little after the hunting observatory point us to the right, where by the fields we lightly descend to the forest, through which we then continue. Through the forest, we are mostly ascending, and when we reach the cart track, we go left.
At the nearby crossing of cart tracks we go straight, and blazes then point us to the right on a footpath which continues through the forest. When we leave the forest we step on an asphalt road, and we follow it to the right, where we walk among houses of the settlement Gaj. When we get to the chapel, we go left, and a little lower we go right, and then we descend also past the last houses in the settlement. When the settlement ends we go left on a cart track which leads us by the fields, when we get closer to the forest, signs point us right into the forest, where over a small bridge we cross the stream Janderdol. On the other side of the stream follows a relatively short ascent through the forest and then the path flattens and brings us out of the forest, where past the hunting observatory we reach the settlement Strehovski Breg, where at the religious symbol we go left. Through the settlement at the crossroads we continue straight, and when the settlement ends, the road starts descending through the forest. The path leads us also past the gate and we get to the chapel of St. Vid.
