Brezovica pri Ljubljani - Vrh (Debeli hrib)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper, we go to the exit Brezovica, and then we continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. Approximately 100 meters before the crossroad, where a road branches off to the left towards Podpeč, we will on the right side of the road notice signs for store with fruits and vegetables Pod orehom, which point us to the right on street V Radno. Here is the beginning of our path on Vrh, and we park somewhere nearby on an appropriate place in Brezovica.

Path description:
We leave the road Tržaška cesta in the direction of store with fruit and vegetable Pod orehom, and then still before the store we continue left on an ascending road which leads us past few houses. Behind the houses, the last one we bypass on the right side the road passes into the forest and changes into at first still wide cart track. Cart track soon flattens, and then it brings us to a smaller crossing, where we continue on the right, also well-beaten cart track. The mentioned cart track we soon leave because traces of predecessors lead slightly left on a well-beaten footpath which is few minutes ascending gently. Soon the path reaches the next cart track, where there are several woodpiles. Here we notice arrow on a tree, which pointing left, and we continue straight on a gentle cart track which crosses slopes towards the right. A little further, the path separates from the cart track, so that it runs parallel with it, then it returns there. Follows only few 10 meters of walking on a cart track, after that well-beaten footpath turns left and starts moderately ascending. In two long zig-zags path ascends on an indistinct ridge of Brezovški hrib, where we continue with some shorter ascents and descents. About 15 minutes ahead we join another ridge, where from the right side also a marked path Cankarjeva pot joins. Here we continue straight and in few minutes of a light ascent, we reach the marked Vrh, where there are inscription box, bench, thermometer, frog...
