Dom pod Storžičem - Javorče

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Ljubelj (Tržič), and then we continue driving towards Ljubelj. Just before the gas station in Bistrica pri Tržiču we leave the main road and we continue driving right in the direction of Tržič. Further, we drive through Tržič in the direction of gorge Dolžanova soteska, and then at the end of the town we continue right in the direction of Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše. At the end of the village Grahovše asphalt ends, and further we follow the macadam road in the direction of the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem. This in the upper part steeper macadam road, we then follow to the parking lot near the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem.

Path description:
From the parking lot near the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem we continue on the left road in the direction of saddle Javorniško sedlo, mountain pasture Javornik, Jezersko, Pavšel, Tič, Tržič and NOB monument. Already after few meters of walking road splits into two parts, and we choose the bottom left road which leads towards the nearby monument NOB and Tržič (slightly right saddle Javorniško sedlo). From the road on which we continue soon short path branches off to the left, which leads to the nearby monument, and we continue on the road which crosses slopes towards the left. After few minutes, we get to the next crossing, where we again choose the bottom left road (slightly right another path which leads on a saddle Javorniško sedlo). Only a little further, more precisely at old hayloft, the road changes into a cart track, and it starts moderately ascending. After a short ascent, we reach the other meadow with hayloft, the path from which a nice view opens up on Storžič, after few meters of additional walking turns right and it brings us to a marked crossing. At the crossing, we continue straight in the direction of Bela peč (left Tič and Lom pod Storžičem), and further we ascend to a smaller saddle, where the cart track flattens and only few 10 meters further brings us to overgrown clearing. On clearing marked path leaves the cart track and continues right over short overgrown slope (turn-off isn't specifically marked, but blazes on the trees are well visible). After few steps, we again step on an easy to follow path, and it starts ascending diagonally over steep slopes. Next follows passage over short avalanche slope, where mainly in wet a little more caution is needed, and then we cross the gully and is on its other side we ascend to the nearby cart track. Next follows a relatively steep ascent on a cart track, from which a nice view opens up, and then we join other cart track, on which we descend to few minutes distant macadam road.
When we step on the road, we follow it to the right, and we ascend there to the nearby Gaberčov rovt, which is only a little away from the road. From here we walk on the road only few minutes, and then at the left turn we leave it and we continue straight in the forest on a marked cart track. Cart track, which at first continues along a smaller stream soon changes into a footpath, and it starts ascending steeper through the forest. Higher, the path passes into a torrent ditch, and on and by it we ascend to a macadam road.
When we reach the mentioned road, we continue left (right mountain pasture Javornik), and then past memorial in few 10 strides we walk to the hut Pr Zdravc.
From the cottage, we short time continue on the road, and on a smaller saddle where the road starts descending, we leave it and we continue right in the direction of Bela peč. Next follows an ascent on a forested ridge, from which occasionally a view opens up a little towards the left, where below us there are steep slopes, and on the right side, where a view is veiled by a dense forest, the slope is less steep. Higher a marked path from the ridge turns left, and at the mentioned part we leave it and we continue straight, where only about a minute higher we reach the cart track, on which we continue the ascent. The cart track few minutes higher splits, and we continue slightly left on a bit worse cart track which soon starts vanishing. On easier pathless terrain we continue to a small saddle, where we continue right towards the main summit. We continue the ascent on at first still indistinct ridge and we follow the ridge "path" all the way to a partly vegetated peak, where there is an inscription box.
