Erlacherhaus - Großer Rosennock (via Feldhütte)

Access to starting point:
A) From Dravograd we drive in the direction of border crossing Vič, from which we continue driving to the settlement Labot / Lavamünd, where we turn left towards Celovec / Klagenfurt. The road leads us all the way to the settlement Grebinj / Griffen, where we go on the highway A2. We continue driving on a highway all the way to Beljak / Villach, where we go on the highway A10. After a little less than 30 km we go to the exit, which leads to the settlement Radenthein. In Radenthein we have to follow the signs for Kaning. And from Kaning we follow the signs Erlacherhaus. After 10 kilometers on a well-settled macadam road, we get to the mountain hut Erlacherhaus, which is situated at an altitude 1636 meters.
B) From Gorenjska side we drive through Karawanks Tunnel and we continue on a highway in the direction of Beljak. From here we follow the upper description.

Path description:
The path starts at Erlacherhaus, where a signpost points us to the left on the path number 170, direction Großer Rosennock. After half an hour walk on the macadam road we get to a crossing. From here we continue straight to Feldhütte, where the path starts slightly ascending. After few minutes, we get to the next signpost, where we turn left through pastures and slopes on a plateau below the summit. On this plateau from the right the path from the lake Naßbodensee joins. Follows only an ascent to the summit, which is the hardest part of the path. On the top we are rewarded with a nice view. On the east in good weather, we see Austrian Koralpe, mountain pasture Saualpe, on the west we can see Grossglockner and on the south a view opens up on the Slovenian Alps.
For the returning path we can choose the path number 13, which leads past the lake.
