Grahovše - Bela peč (via Tič)

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, take the Ljubelj (Tržič) exit, then just before the gas station at Bistrica pri Tržiču turn right towards Tržič. We then drive through Tržič in the direction of Dolžanova soteska, then in the settlement Slap continue right uphill towards the village Lom pod Storžičem and Grahovše. On the ascending road at crossroads follow the signs for the mountain hut Dom pod Storžičem to the large marked parking lot beside the quarry in Grahovše.

Path description:
At the beginning of the parking lot, signs for Konjščica direct us left onto a narrower ascending road. The road soon ascends above the village, then partly through the forest, partly with views on the ridge of Kriška gora, brings us to farms Frona and Uskovnik (Uskovc), where the road ends. Here we continue among the houses on the path which goes into the forest and then ascends transversely above the stream. A little higher we cross the mentioned stream, then the marked path turns to the left and brings us out of the forest onto a panoramic meadow called Kožuhovca. Here we ascend past a decaying wooden cottage, above which we step onto a steep forest road. We only cross the road and continue the ascent in the direction of the Tič homestead. Just a few 10 m higher, a marked path from Tržič or Lom pod Storžičem to Konjščica (via Potarje) also joins from the left; we continue straight and in about 10 minutes of additional walking arrive at farms Strmc and Tič. Here we continue through the yard of the Tič farm, uphill, and for a short time continue on the road, then the blazes direct us slightly to the left onto a marked footpath. If there is a lot of snow and the footpath is not beaten, we can continue on the road, as the footpath above the pasture also returns to the road. We continue on the road through the forest to the next pasture, where a path from the Pavšel farm also joins from the right. With nice views on the ridge of Kriška gora, just a little higher than the mentioned junction we arrive at a wooden log cabin, where the path along the road ends (the area is called Na Vršeh).
Here we continue slightly left along an initially somewhat more overgrown path, along which we quickly arrive at a wooden cottage, Potarje 44. We continue uphill through the forest, cross the forest road, then continue first right then left, where the footpath moderately ascends for a short time. Due to numerous smaller junctions, carefully follow the blazes. We cross a stream, then the footpath joins a cart track, above a smaller clearing the path brings us to a forest road. We follow the road to the left and walk only a few meters along it, as the blazes and signpost then direct us right onto an ascending footpath. The path ahead first ascends the slope somewhat to the right, then straight upward; on a rocky landslide it turns to the left and higher returns to the road directly near the viewpoint "Na Boštu" (the viewpoint is less than 5 minutes distant from the marked path). Just below the road, where they have recently cut part of the forest, a view opens towards Tržič, Dobrča, Begunjščica and Košuta. When we step onto the road we continue right and after approximately 10 minutes of additional walking step out of the forest onto the pasture Spodnja Konjščica.
We bypass the shepherd hut on the mentioned pasture on the left side and continue on the marked path, which gently ascends to the upper edge of the pasture. Here the path goes into the forest and ascends more steeply for a short time, then turns somewhat to the left and gradually flattens. Just a little further we come out of the forest, stepping onto the pastures of the extensive pasture Zgornja Konjščica.
In a few short ascents and descents we walk to the other part of the pasture, then the path enters the forest, quickly bringing us to a marked junction. Here we continue right (left Koča na Javorniku) in the direction of the vantage point Bela peč. The path a little further crosses a wire fence and then quickly ascends to the panoramic and precipitous peak.
