Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Kozina, and then we continue driving on a regional road from Kozina towards Bazovica / Basovizza (Italy). Only a little after the national border we get to the settlement Pesek / Pese, where we turn towards Gročana / Grozzana. In Gročana we park by the road before first houses. The starting point is located higher in the village (picture 1).
Path description:
The marked path at first leads from the starting point on the macadam road which is winding through the forest. The path is easy and marked with white red blazes, on which sometimes number 3 is written (picture 3 and 4). After 40 minutes. We get to a marked crossing (picture 5), where we turn left. At the mentioned crossing, we this time turn on a footpath which is marked with number 28 (twenty-eight). We continue to the top of Kokoš (674 meters).
