Kaning (Türkhaus) - Predigerstuhl (via Erlacher Bockhütte)

Access to starting point:
A) From Dravograd we drive in the direction of border crossing Vič, from which we continue driving to the settlement Labot / Lavamünd, where we turn left towards Celovec / Klagenfurt. The road leads us all the way to the settlement Grebinj / Griffen, where we go on the highway A2. We continue driving on a highway all the way to Beljak / Villach, where we go on the highway A10. After a little less than 30 km we go to the exit, which leads to the settlement Radenthein. In Radenthein we have to follow the signs for Kaning. A little before the settlement we park on one of the two settled parking lots by inn Türkhaus.
B) From Gorenjska side we drive through Karawanks Tunnel and we continue on a highway in the direction of Beljak. From here we follow the upper description.

Path description:
From the parking lot signpost points us over a bridge on a themed hiking trail by the river Rossbach, Mühlenwanderweg. We at first walk gently uphill by its left bank, then few times through bridges we step the other bank, until we get to the first mountain pasture at the beginning of the valley Langalmtal. Here we go once again over a bridge on the right bank, and the path after a short steepness brings us on a macadam road. We follow it all the time past Aichholzerhütte, behind which at the crossroad it soon ends. Left through the bridge over the stream it joins the transport road towards Erlacherhütte, and our path continues on a cart track to the nearby mountain pasture, and there to the inn Petodnighaus, where we again step on the road. The path then goes on the road past the homestead Kreuwzwirthütte, where it ascends a little, further to a crossroad, where we can choose any of the variants. We are soon at the mountain hut Erlacherhütte, to which we can drive from Kaning.

The path then leads around the mountain hut on the road to a crossroad, where a signpost points us to the right, left leads the path ahead past the lake Nassbodensee on Großer Rosennock. The road starts ascending steeper, and after few longer or shorter turns we step on the mountain pasture with the mountain hut Erlacher Bockhütte, where the road ends. The path then through the mountain pasture soon brings us to the foot of the south ridge of Pfannock. Next follows a steady ascent almost to the saddle between Pfannock and Predigerstuhl. A little below it, we get to a crossroad, where we turn left on the eastern slopes of our destination. Next follows a longer crossing towards the upper plateau, with few short zig-zags. After we get on a plateau, the path after a short ascent and descent (it unnoticeably avoids the highest point), brings us to the summit.

We can descend on the ascent route, or we can decide and we descend on a plateau towards the west to a saddle with Kleiner Rosennockom (2361 meters), from where follows a little more demanding descent or direct towards Erlacherhütte or crossing to the lake Nassbodensee and then past Feldhütte on the road back.
