Access to starting point:
We drive to Vrhnika (to here from Ljubljana or Logatec) and at the gas station, we go towards Stara Vrhnika (from Ljubljana direction right from Logatec left). Further, we drive on the road past Stara Vrhnika and soon after that, we notice signs Zaplana left. We go on this road which starts ascending and a little higher, it brings us to a smaller hamlet near the church. We park on a parking lot on the right side of the road at the signs Kuren.
Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, we will on the left side of the road (in the direction of ascent) notice a wide path, which in a gentle descent crosses a meadow. After few minutes of walking, we join the path from a lower starting point. We continue right on a cart track which is gently ascending past the pasture, which we see on the left side. The path then starts ascending a little steeper and eventually the path gets very close to the forest road. We continue left on the path which then after few minutes brings us on the forest road. Here we go left and we follow the road all the way to the cottage on Planina, which we reach after five minutes of walking. For a view, we have to ascend on the nearby lookout tower.
