Access to starting point:
We drive to Vrhnika (to here from Ljubljana or Logatec) and at the gas station, we go towards Stara Vrhnika (from Ljubljana direction right from Logatec left). Further, we drive on the road past Stara Vrhnika and soon after that, we notice signs Zaplana left. We go on this road which starts ascending and a little higher, it brings us to a smaller hamlet near the church. We park on a parking lot on the right side of the road at the signs Kuren.
Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, we will on the left side of the road (in the direction of ascent) notice a wide path, which in a gentle descent crosses a meadow. After few minutes of walking, we join the path from a lower starting point. We continue right on a cart track which is gently ascending past the pasture, which we see on the left side. The path then starts ascending a little steeper and eventually the path gets very close to the forest road. Here we leave the marked path, which goes towards the cottage Zavetišče na Planini and we go right to the road. When we come on the road, we continue left on the road slightly upwards. After few minutes it brings us to a crossroad, where the road branches off to the left towards the cottage Zavetišče na Planini. We continue straight on the road which goes towards Zaplana. And we follow this road only few meters to the spot, where the marked path branches off to the right upwards, which after 15 minutes of a moderate ascent through the forest brings us to cableways on the top of Ulovka.
