Path description:
From the starting point at the inn Legastja at first we carefully cross the road, and then we go on a footpath in the direction of St Jakob. The path is at first ascending on a grassy cart track which leads us among meadows and pastures, and then it flattens and it brings us to a smaller hamlet, where we step on an asphalt road. We continue among some houses, after which the asphalt road changes into a cart track, on which we ascend to the nearby hayracks. At hayracks blazes point us slightly left, on the path which is then ascending on a meadow. Easy to follow, but in the time of high grass a little overgrown path, after few minutes brings us to other asphalt road which we reach at the smaller crossroad, by which there is a cross. We continue on the left side of the cross, on an ascending road, on which we quickly get to a hamlet with few houses and a marked crossing there.
At the crossing, we leave the road and we continue the ascent left in the direction of 10 minutes shorter path on Sveti Jakob. When we step into the forest, on a poorly marked crossing we continue on the left bottom path, which is then slightly descending towards distinct torrent gully. On the other side of the gully, the path which at first continues on a forested cart track gradually starts ascending a little steeper. Higher blazes point us to the right on the path which in few minutes comes out of the forest on a panoramic meadow. We short time continue on a poorly visible footpath which leads us through the meadow, and then we already step on the next asphalt road which we follow to the right (left Tehovec).
On the road which leads us on a panoramic ridge, from which a nice view opens up on Kamnik Savinja Alps we walk only few 10 strides, and then we continue slightly left on the mountain path, which quickly brings us to the next crossing.
At the mentioned crossing, we leave the cart track which on the eastern side bypasses the peak of Sveti Jakob and we continue right in the direction of the mentioned summit. The path ahead starts steeply ascending through a lane of bushes and forest and then flattens a little and on a panoramic grassy slope it brings us to a cart track which leads towards the summit of Sveti Jakob. We follow the cart track to the left, and there in a minute of additional walking, we ascend on a panoramic peak.
