Access to starting point:
From the road Trenta - Bovec we drive to the village Soča, and there signs for Lepena point us to the left (and from Bovec side right) steeply downwards. The road then over a bridge crosses part of gorge Velika korita and then it quickly brings us to a marked parking lot, where we park.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we go on the road on which we came and we follow it to the spot, where the road crosses gorge Velika korita. Here we will notice by the road a tourist sign, which points us on at first a wide path which runs by the edge of gorge Velika korita Soče. The path mostly runs through the forest and it gets closer to a gorge only at viewpoints (carefully - dangerous for slipping into a rapid river). A little further over a hanging bridge joins also the path from the main road between Trenta and Bovec. We continue on the right side (left bank) of river Soča and the path quickly brings us to the beginning of gorge.
