Ljubenske Rastke - Bezovec

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Maribor we go to the exit Šentrupert and we follow the road ahead towards the valley Logarska dolina. In the village Ljubno ob Savinji signpost for Smrekovec points us right. The road then runs through the center of the village, where we turn left again following the signs for Smrekovec. The road then brings us in Ljubenske Rastke, where we park on a parking lot near the church.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the left road in the direction of Travnik and Komen (straight mountain hut Dom na Smrekovcu). And after few steps of walking, we will on the right side by the business building notice a pole of power line and there mountain signpost, which points us left on a footpath which ascends over short grassy slope. The path then goes quickly in the forest, where continues in a diagonal ascent. Already after few minutes of walking from the left side joins a wide cart track on which we continue an ascent. Only a little further mentioned cart track turns sharply right, and we continue straight (this part of the path is poorly marked). Partly rocky cart track on which we are ascending then makes light left turn and then it brings us out of the forest, where we will on the right side notice decaying chapel.
Behind the chapel footpath vanishes, and we continue through a meadow to the cart track which we follow to the right to a smaller abandoned hamlet. At the hamlet cart track turns left and only few steps ahead blazes point us to the right on a footpath which starts to ascend steeper through the forest. The path higher passes out of the forest on grassy slopes over which we ascend to an asphalt road (possible also access on the road).
Further, we are gently ascending on an asphalt road which at the crossroads we follow in the direction of Komen. Higher, the road brings us to a crossroad by which we notice signs for Komen, which point us on for traffic closed road. We follow this road only a short time because we will soon notice faded signpost, which points us right in the forest. After few steps of ascent through the forest, the path brings us to NOB monument.
Ascent we continue in the direction of hospital on the path which soon brings us to a marked crossing. We continue slightly right in the direction of Komen (slightly left hospital Celje and Travnik) on the path which higher brings us on the forest road which we follow to the left, but only a short time because then blazes point us right on a footpath. A moderately steep path, which run through the forest then brings us to a smaller cross, where from the left joins an unmarked path from the valley of the stream Žep. We continue on the path which is ascending diagonally through the forest, and when comes out of the forest it turns sharply left, where bypasses the peak Bezovec on which there is situated hunting observatory.
To hunting observatory on the summit Bezovec we ascend in less than a minute of walking on an unmarked footpath which from the marked path branches off to the right.
