Access to starting point:
A) From Ljubljana we drive along Tržaška cesta towards Brezovica pri Ljubljani, at the highway junction we continue right towards Dobrova. After the junction immediately behind the bus stop we go left and when we notice a signpost for Gradišče, we park at a suitable place.
B) From Vrhnika on the old road we drive towards Ljubljana, at the end of Brezovica pri Ljubljani at the traffic-light junction we continue left towards Dobrova. After the junction immediately behind the bus stop we go left and when we notice a signpost for Gradišče, we park at a suitable place.
C) We leave the Primorska highway at the Brezovica exit, then at the traffic-light junction we continue straight towards Dobrova. After the junction immediately behind the bus stop we go left and when we notice a signpost for Gradišče, we park at a suitable place.
Route description:
From the starting point, we go on the path in the direction of Gradišče, which quickly starts ascending. After a short ascent, we get to the vantage point, from which a beautiful view opens up towards the east, where Ljubljana is nicely visible. There follows approximately 20 minutes of quite panoramic and gentle path, then the path goes more to the left and ascends more steeply for approximately another 20 minutes. The path, which is marked with blazes and signposts, then quickly brings us to a forested peak.
