Lovrenc na Pohorju - Hlebov vrh (Rdeči Breg)

Access to starting point:
A) With a car we drive from Maribor in the direction of Dravograd. Approximately 20 km from Maribor we turn left onto the bridge over the river Drava. Below the railway bridge in the hamlet Ruta we continue driving straight. At the next crossroad, we turn right, and then we drive through the hamlet Puščava. Then the road brings us to the settlement Kurja vas, where at the crossroad we keep straight. On the lower side we see a very well-known factory of scythes and sickles; after approx. 2 km we arrive in the center of the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju, where we can already park in an appropriate place.
B) First, we drive to Dravograd, and then we continue driving towards Maribor. A few kilometers after the settlement Ožbalt we turn right onto the bridge over the river Drava. Further, we follow the above description.

Path description:
We start in the center of Lovrenc at the cross church at Spodnji trg 4. We go in the direction west past the monument and along the street past the primary school.
At the crossroad, we turn left onto the road, which descends through the forest to the next crossroad, where we cross the stream Slepnica. We turn again to the left and continue along the road by the stream. After approximately 200 m a mountain signpost directs us to the right (direction St. Ignatius). The path turns to macadam, and at the next crossroad the road splits into three branches. We go along the middle one as directed by the sign on the power pole. The road ascends the hill below the homestead. Soon a view opens up on central Pohorje and the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju. Higher up we turn right and go across the farmyard and ahead into the forest. For some time the path ascends, then runs more gently and turns left across the slope. Out of the forest we step into an orchard, to the left below the house on the edge of the forest, where a nice view opens up again. Ahead we go into the forest along the forest road, but only a few meters or to the place where on the left we spot the mark that directs us onto the footpath. We cross the road several times, keep to the left directions and then go steeply uphill. When we step onto the road again we go in the direction of homestead Zg. Dobnik. We cross the yard, across the meadow and again into the forest. Past the wayside shrine by the path we come to a fork, where we keep to the left direction (right goes the path to the hunting hut Glančnik). Out of the forest we come onto a meadow, along which we arrive at homestead Hudej (843 m). We step onto the road, where we are at the junction. The signpost directs us left (direction St. Ignatius and Hlebov vrh).
We continue along the road, along which there are thematic points. Further on we walk past the homestead and through a short strip of forest. Now we see Hlebov vrh on the right side, but we walk along the road to homestead Hleb and after 5 minutes we are at the little church of St. Ignatius (890 m).
Before the little church we turn sharply right onto a well-trodden path, along which we notice wooden arrows, and in the next 5 minutes we are at the highest point - Hlebov vrh 913 m.
