Access to starting point:
A) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, between HE Fala and HE Ožbalt we turn left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju (from the direction of Dravograd we turn right). On the other side of the Drava we start ascending along Radoljna, and at the marked junction we go slightly right on the main road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. When we arrive in the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju we follow the main road, in the center of the settlement we turn right towards the primary school, where we park on the parking lot by the school. We can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are some arranged free parking spots.
B) We drive to Ruše, then we follow the road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. In the settlement Činžat we arrive at a pass, where the road starts descending, lower we go left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. When we arrive in the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju we follow the main road, in the center of the settlement we turn right towards the primary school, where we park on the parking lot by the school. We can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are some arranged free parking spots.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the left road (right road leads to the recreational settlement), which continues towards the west and soon splits. We continue on the right road which starts descending through the forest, and lower we get to the stream Slepnica, where we reach another road and a marked junction.
We turn right in the direction of Kapus (left path past Dobnik and path past Brabar) and for a short time continue on the road in the direction of Puščava, at the first junction we go sharply left onto the road to which the blazes also direct us.
We continue walking on the macadam road which climbs past a few houses and higher farms, then for some time continue through the forest. Higher the road levels out and leads us across to the Pavlič homestead (before entering the homestead there is a warning for a vicious dog), after which the road changes to a cart track but we continue slightly right and continue the ascent along the edge of the forest. In the forest we gradually transition to an indistinct ridge, along which we step out of the forest onto grazing slopes. We continue towards the outbuilding of the Kapus farm, which we bypass on the right side, then we ascend to the macadam road, where we join the path from Puščava.
We continue left between the outbuilding and the house, after the farm the road enters the forest through which it continues all the way to Cigelnica, where there is a marked junction.
We continue left on the footpath in the direction of Klančnik and sv. Ignacij (straight HE Ožbalt), where we ascend on a cart track. Higher we cross a poor macadam road, behind it we ascend for some time on the cart track. Higher the cart track narrows and the blazes direct us left, where we step out of the forest, then along the edge of the forest in a few minutes we reach the summit Klančnik.
