Access to starting point:
From Kočevje we continue towards Croatia and border crossing Petrina. After approx 15 km we get to the village Morava. At the end of the village, we turn right on a macadam path. At first turn-off we continue straight (right - farm), at the next we go right and after approx 2 km we get to the end of the road and a turning point, where we leave the car. We can leave the car also in Morava and go on foot on the forest road.
Path description:
From the turning point, we continue on a logging trail, which is ascending slightly left on a slope. The logging trail is deeply indented into the surface. After approx 500 meters we turn left on a slope on the ridge, which shows up on the left. The logging trail continues to the ridge and on the ridge. Soon a logging trail branches off towards the summit, which is pretty steep. After approx 50 meters from there to the left a path branches off on the ridge to the top. The path is beaten and it follows the ridge.
On the summit a view opens up on the entire former closed area, we see Preža, Sadni hrib, Morava, Nove Laze, Kočevska Reka and all the way to Stojna, Velika gora, Goteniški Snežnik and hills above Kolpa. On the other side a view reaches into a valley of river Kolpa, we see castle Kostel, Banja loka,... below us is located Ajbelj, to which there is 10 min of steep descent.
