Možnica - The Možnica river-beds

Access to starting point:
From Bovec, we drive towards the border crossing Predel or vice versa. Only few meters after the road sign 10.5 km we will on the left side of the road (if we drive from the direction of Predel on the right side) notice a smaller parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we descend on an asphalt road few 10 meters (direction Bovec), and then we come to a crossroad, where we continue sharply right in the direction of Apnenica. Macadam road which is closed for public traffic then crosses a wooden bridge and on the other side brings us to a marked crossing, where we continue right (straight private). The marked path then crosses a grazing fence and right after it splits into two parts.
We continue left in the direction of Možnica (straight Apnenica and Log pod Mangartom) on a little steeper path, which passes into a lane of a dense forest. The path soon flattens and out of the forest brings us on panoramic grassy slopes, by which we notice individual, mostly abandoned shepherd huts. Higher, the path brings us to a marked crossing, where we continue sharply left in the direction of Možnica gorge. The path ahead crosses panoramic slopes, and then passes into a dense forest, where after few minutes of additional walking, we get to a bridge above the gorge of river Možnica.
If we want to view a waterfall with natural bridge, we have to cross the bridge and on the other side continue left downwards on a steep and partly exposed path. Because this part runs below the steep and crumbly mountain walls is recommended to use a helmet.
At sightseeing of waterfall a great caution is needed that we don't slip into a depth. The path from a bridge to the waterfall is demanding.
