Planina Kisovec - Črnuški dom na Mali planini

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Kamnik, and then we continue driving in the direction of the Črnivec pass. Just a few 100 m before the mentioned pass we notice signs for Kranjski Rak, which direct us sharply left onto a narrow and initially also quite steep road. The road levels out higher up and then brings us to the Volovjek pass (Kranjski Rak), where we continue left in the direction of Velika planina. Here the road loses its asphalt surface, and we follow it to a well-marked junction, where we continue on the left road (direction Planina Kisovec). The road ahead ascends for some time more, then levels out and brings us out of the forest onto Planina Kisovec. In the middle of the descent, a marked footpath branches off to the right, leading to Velika planina, while we follow the road a little further to the marked and well-maintained parking lot.
From Gornji Grad we drive towards Kamnik, then just a few 100 m after the Črnivec pass we continue right in the direction of Kranjski Rak. Further, follow the above description.
From Savinjska dolina we first drive to Luče, then continue driving towards Kamnik. When we arrive at the Volovjek pass we continue right in the direction of Velika planina. Further, follow the above description.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we return along the road a little back, then signs for Velika planina direct us onto a gentle and wide footpath, along which in a few 10 steps we arrive at the Planšarija Jule. We bypass the mentioned Planšarija on the left side and continue the path along a gentle track, which brings us into the forest in a few minutes, where it first crosses a grazing fence, then joins the path from the valley. We follow the marked path to the right, which gradually begins to ascend more and more steeply. After a good half hour of relatively steep ascent, the path levels out and brings us to the lower edge of the grazing areas of Mala planina. The slightly ascending path then leads us past a few shepherd huts, then brings us to a marked junction, where we continue slightly left in the direction of Črnuški dom. The path ahead ascends a bit more steeply, then quickly brings us to the already mentioned mountain hut.
