Planinski dom Milana Šinkovca - Šenturška Gora

Access to starting point:
A) with From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Vodice, and then we continue driving towards Vodice and Kamnik. When we get to the settlement Moste, at main traffic light crossroad we cross the road Mengeš - Kranj, after that immediately after the crossroad we turn left in the direction of Komenda (straight Kamnik). Further, we drive through Komenda, we drive to a roundabout, where in the direction of right (first exit) road towards Križ and Gmajnica branches off. We continue in the mentioned direction, and then at the roundabout in the settlement Gmajnice we continue "left" (exit from the roundabout in the direction of the mountain hut. Further, we get into Podboršt, where once again we turn left in the direction of the mountain hut, after that few 10 meters further once again left, this time towards the parking lot nearby the mountain hut.
B) from Trzin or Domžale we drive to Mengeš, from there we continue driving towards Kranj. At the main traffic light crossroad in Moste we turn right towards Kamnik, after that immediately left in the direction of Komenda. Further, we drive through Komenda, we drive to a roundabout, where in the direction of right (first exit) road towards Križ and Gmajnica branches off. We continue in the mentioned direction, and then at the roundabout in the settlement Gmajnice we continue "left" (exit from the roundabout in the direction of the mountain hut. Further, we get into Podboršt, where once again we turn left in the direction of the mountain hut, after that few 10 meters further once again left, this time towards the parking lot nearby the mountain hut.
C) First, we drive to Kamnik, and then we continue driving towards Kranj. When we get to Moste, just before the main traffic light crossroad we turn right towards Komenda. Further, we drive through Komenda, we drive to a roundabout, where in the direction of right (first exit) road towards Križ and Gmajnica branches off. We continue in the mentioned direction, and then at the roundabout in the settlement Gmajnice we continue "left" (exit from the roundabout in the direction of the mountain hut. Further, we get into Podboršt, where once again we turn left in the direction of the mountain hut, after that few 10 meters further once again left, this time towards the parking lot nearby the mountain hut.

Path description:
From the starting point, we go on a footpath in the direction of Komendska Dobrava, Šenturška Gora, Ambrož pod Krvavcem and Krvavec. The marked path immediately passes into the forest named Komendski boršt, through which we are lightly ascending. At numerous smaller crossings we carefully follow the blazes.
On the part, where from the left path from Klanec joins, we continue straight. A little further, at the spot, where the path starts gradually descending path towards the partisan hospital branches off to the right, we still follow the path towards Šenturška Gora. The path ahead for a short time leads by a smaller stream, after which we soon step on an asphalt road which we follow to the left, on the nearby smaller crossroad, by the house, we continue right on a macadam road. From the macadam road, we immediately continue slightly left on a footpath in the direction of Šenturška Gora. We again continue through the forest, and the path soon brings us to the next stream. After the small stream, the path for some time ascends a little steeper, and then it entirely flattens and brings us by the edge of a larger meadow, where we cross end of the nearby macadam road. We continue on a marked path which continues with some shorter ascents and descents, and then after crossing the stream Doblič we quickly reach a wider macadam road.
We follow the road to the right (left Zalog), which quickly brings us to the spot, where the path on Šenturška Gora over Zaloški edge branches off to the left, and we continue on the road which past bigger clearing, which we notice on our left, brings us to some sort of unofficial parking lot, where we notice the next signs for Šenturška Gora.
We continue in the direction of Šenturška Gora, on the path which starts moderately ascending. On the part, where the path for the same time flattens, in good weather, the view opens up a little towards Triglav, the path quickly returns into the forest, through which it continues on an indistinct ridge. When the path from the ridge passes on a slope it becomes pretty steep, and then it flattens and crosses a forest road. After crossing the road, we get to a pleasant bench, by which a wish bell is located. Further, the path is mostly steeply ascending, higher for a short time becomes even steeper, and then it flattens and past the bench "Kačja slinca" brings us out of the forest, on an ample and scenic meadows below Šenturška Gora. The path continues over the meadow, where with beautiful views in few minutes we reach an asphalt road which we follow left upwards (right downwards Tunjice). The path ahead leads us past road turn towards known herb farm Grilc (Aelita), and then at the next crossroad we continue left (right marked path towards Ambrož pod Krvavcem). We continue on the asphalt road which past a stone for weather forecasting and a religious symbol brings us to the spot, where there are few successive crossroads. We go on the road which continues from smaller chapel, and which in a minute or two of additional walking brings us to the church of St Urh on Šenturška Gora.
From the church, we can return to the chapel, and from there we continue on the road to few minutes distant agrotourism Pavlin.
