Podpeč - Sveta Ana

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Brezovica, from there we continue driving left on the old road towards Vrhnika. Still in Brezovica, we notice signs for Podpeč, which point us to the left. Ahead we drive through Vnanje and Notranje Gorice to Podpeč, where at the crossroad we continue left towards the village Jezero. Immediately after the gas station, which is on the left side of the road, on the right side of the road, we notice a turn-off of steep road which leads to the near residential houses. At the crossroad, there are signs for Sveta Ana and appropriate parking spot for 3 to 4 cars.
B) From Ljubljana, we drive to Črna vas, and then we continue driving towards the settlement Podpeč, where we join the road from Brezovica. In Podpeč we again continue left (direction Jezero), after that immediately after the gas station, which is on the left side of the road, on the right side we notice a turn-off of steep road which leads to the near residential houses. At the crossroad, there are signs for Sveta Ana and appropriate parking spot for 3 to 4 cars.

Path description:
From Podpeč, actually already from Jezero, because the starting point is located immediately after the sign which marks the beginning of the settlement Jezero, we go on a steep road which ascends to the nearby residential house. We bypass the house on the left side, and then at the crossing of cart tracks we choose right, so the one which starts moderately ascending through the forest. We some time walk on the mentioned cart track, and then signs for Sveta Ana point us to the right on a little steeper footpath which a little higher joins also the marked path from Jezero.
We continue straight on a little less steep path, which soon comes out of the forest on a smaller saddle, where we join a wider and more visited path from Preserje. Here we continue right and after 2 minutes of additional walking, we get to the church of St. Ana, from which a nice view opens up on Ljubljana Marshes.
