Ptujska Gora (roundabout) - Ptujska Gora

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Maribor we go to the exit Slovenska Bistrica - sever, and then we follow the signs for Ptuj. The road towards Ptuj we leave at the signs for Cirkovce, and from Cirkovce we follow the road towards Lovrenc na Dravskem polju. In Župečja vas, which is situated still before Lovrenc na Dravskem polju we go right in the direction of Ptujska Gora. On Ptujska Gora at the roundabout we turn left and then once again left on a parking lot, which is intended for visitors of the church. The described path starts on the mentioned parking lot, if we intend to visit the church we park here, if not we have to look for a parking lot somewhere nearby. A larger parking lot is below the church.
B) We leave the Podravje highway at exit Hajdina, and then we follow the signs for Slovenska Bistrica and Hajdina. The road towards Slovenska Bistrica we quickly leave and we turn left in the direction of Kidričevo. Further, we drive through Kidričevo, and when we get to Apače we go from the roundabout right in the direction of Lovrenc na Dravskem polju, and further we follow the signs for Ptujska Gora. On Ptujska Gora at the roundabout we turn left and then once again left on a parking lot, which is intended for visitors of the church. The described path starts on the mentioned parking lot, if we intend to visit the church we park here, if not we have to look for a parking lot somewhere nearby. A larger parking lot is below the church.
C) We drive to Ptuj, and then we follow the signs for Lovrenc na Dravskem polju and Ptujska Gora. On Ptujska Gora at the roundabout we turn left and then once again left on a parking lot, which is intended for visitors of the church. The described path starts on the mentioned parking lot, if we intend to visit the church we park here, if not we have to look for a parking lot somewhere nearby. A larger parking lot is below the church.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road, by which there are signs for pilgrimage path (romarska pot), and already after few steps, at the smaller crossroad we go left, again in the direction of pilgrimage path. The path ahead leads us on the road which is gently ascending, and at the next crossroad, we go again left (even if we continue straight we get to the church on Ptujska Gora). Next follows some crossing towards the left and we get to a larger parking lot, from where we go on the path towards basilica.
Next follows a steeper walk on a paved path, by which there are station of mysteries of all four rosaries. This path, from which increasingly beautiful views opening up, which reach to Pohorje, we follow to the church, to which in the last part, we ascend also on the stairs.
