Rečica ob Paki - Gora Oljka

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Celje we go to the exit Šempeter and follow the road ahead in the direction of Polzela. In Polzela signs for Gora Oljka point us to the right. The road then brings us in the village Podvin pri Polzeli, where we notice the next sign for Gora Oljka. Here we continue straight (even though it is written Gora Oljka right) and we follow the road through the railway crossing at the end of the village Podgora. And only few meters after the passage we come in the village Rečica ob Paki, where we also notice signs Podgora, Mali and Veliki vrh right. Here we turn right and drive on the road again over the railway track and then we park somewhere by the road the way we don't hinder traffic (there aren't any appropriate parking spots).

Path description:
By the road, we soon notice blazes, which bring us in the village. Through the village runs marked path, which runs partly on the road, and partly on a footpath. When the road ends, we continue past the last house in the village, on a cart track which ascends diagonally. After a short ascent, the path brings us on a bad macadam road which we follow left upwards. After few minutes of the ascent, on this road we come to a crossing of three cart tracks. First after few steps ends, the second the correct one is marked and the third turns sharply right. We continue the ascent on a marked cart track which soon changes into a pleasant footpath. Next follows 10 minutes of ascent and the path brings us to a crossing, where we continue right in the direction of Gora Oljka. Further, we are moderately ascending through the forest on a cart track which a little higher brings us on the forest road. Here we go right and we continue on the road which in two minutes of additional walking brings us to the mountain hut on Gora Oljka.
