Rovte - Sveti Primož in Felicijan (Jamnik)

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Naklo (possible also exit for Tržič), and then we follow the signs for Kropa. In Podnart, after the crossing of river Sava we continue left and then past the turn for Ovsiše, in few kilometers we get to a crossroad, where we turn left in the direction of Češnjica pri Kropi. Next follows crossing of river Lipnica, and then at the crossroad we choose the road in the direction of Na Kajžah (right Na Kmetih). When Češnjica ends, we descend into a smaller valley, when the road again ascends we quickly get to Rovte, where we park on an appropriate place by the crossroad and recycling spot.
B) From highway Jesenice - Ljubljana we go to the exit Lesce or Radovljica, and then we continue driving in the direction of Radovljica and later village Lancovo, Lipnica, Kamna Gorica and Kropa, in which we don't drive into. We continue towards Podnart, and then few kilometers before the mentioned settlement we turn right in the direction of Češnjica pri Kropi. Next follows crossing of river Lipnica, and then at the crossroad we choose the road in the direction of Na Kajžah (right Na Kmetih). When Češnjica ends, we descend into a smaller valley, when the road again ascends we quickly get to Rovte, where we park on an appropriate place by the crossroad and recycling spot.
C) From the road Dražgoše - Zgornja Besnica, near the hamlet Log (Log is a hamlet, which is part of the settlement Njivica), we drive on the side road in the direction of Njivica and Rovte. At the end of the settlement Rovte we get to a smaller crossroad, by which there is a recycling spot, and we park here on an appropriate place.

Path description:
From the recycling spot we continue in the direction of Besnica, and then before the houses we notice a blaze on the tree, which points us right on a narrower road which behind the nearby house ends. We continue on a footpath, and then past next house we reach another road which we follow to the right. When the settlement ends we continue on the forest road which behind the hunting observatory leads in the forest. In the forest, at the smaller crossroad we continue right towards Jamnik, we continue with an ascent on a rough macadam road which is higher changing into a wide cart track.
When we come below the peak Špile (811 meters) we choose the left cart track, from there we soon go right on a marked footpath which ascends diagonally on an indistinct saddle between the already mentioned peak on the right and Mali vrh (821 meters) on the right.
From the saddle follows a short descent, after that towards the left we cross quite steep slopes of the peak Špila, where mainly when there's a frozen snow is dangerous for slipping. When the crossing ends, we step on a forested ridge and the path widens into a cart track. A little further from the left joins another path from Jamnik, and we continue straight, on the path which out of the forest brings us on more scenic ridge, on which we quickly ascend to a small church of St. Primož and Felicijan on Jamnik.
