Snežniška Grda jama - Mali Snežnik

Access to starting point:
From Cerknica we drive towards Lož and further to the village Pudob, where we turn right in the direction of Snežnik and village Kozarišče. At the castle Snežnik asphalt ends and we continue further on a macadam road and at the crossroads, we stick to direction of Mašun. After a long drive on a macadam we come to a crossroad of equivalent roads, where we first time notice a sign "Sviščaki". Here we turn sharply left and a road which is still macadam we follow to a mountain hut Koča na Sviščakih. Here forest road towards Snežnik branches off to the left. We go on this road and we follow it at first through the hamlet on Sviščaki to a crossroad, where we go to the left road. Soon after that another road branches off sharply to the right, we continue straight to the next crossroad, where we park on a marked parking lot.
We drive to Ilirska Bistrica, where we go left towards Sviščaki (if we come from Croatia then right). We follow the road ahead to Sviščaki. At the mountain hut Planinski dom na Sviščakih road towards Snežnik branches off to the right. We go on this road and we follow it at first through the hamlet on Sviščaki to a crossroad, where we go to the left road. Soon after that another road branches off sharply to the right, we continue straight to the next crossroad, where we park on a marked parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go on the left bottom road which brings us to a sharp left turn, where on the left we notice a cave Snežniška Grda jama. Soon and then right upward goes footpath towards Mali Snežnik.
We go on this path, which at first steeply ascends, and then in a traverse brings us to the spot, where joins the path from Mašun. We continue right again relatively steeply upwards through the forest, which soon changes into a dwarf pine. The path with increasingly beautiful views after one hour of walking, it brings us on an indistinct peak Mali Snežnik.
