A) From Nova Gorica or from Tolmin we drive towards Bovec. Only a little after the roundabout, where join roads from Nova Gorica and Tolmin, we get to a crossroad, where the road towards the mountain pass Solarji and Kolovrat branches off to the left. The road then brings us by the edge of Volče, where a signpost for saddle Solarji points us right on the road which after the last houses starts ascending steeper. Further, we drive on an asphalt road which after few kilometers of ascent brings us on a saddle, where there is also a crossroad of roads. Here we continue on the left bottom road, by which we already after few meters park on a large parking lot (we park the way we don't hinder possible forestry work).
B) From Bovec, we drive towards Tolmin, and we follow the road to the spot, where a road towards Kolovrat branches off to the right (turn-off is marked and is located only a little before the roundabout, where the road splits towards Nova Gorica and Tolmin).
Path description:
On the opposite side of "parking lot" we notice a mountain signpost with the caption Ježa and mountain hut Planinski dom pod Ježo, which points us on a gently sloping and relatively overgrown cart track. Cart track soon changes into a footpath, and it starts at first gently, and then steeper and steeper descending. The path ahead leads us past old military cavern and behind it brings us to short spot, which is secured with a steel cable (undemanding). A short descent follows and the path brings us to a macadam road which we reach right at the smaller crossroad. Here we continue on the left road, and from there we soon turn right on ascending and at first a wide cart track. A short time we follow the cart track, and then signs for Ježa point us to the right on a footpath which starts ascending steeper through the forest. Worse beaten and on some spots also more overgrown footpath higher flattens and brings us out of the forest on partly panoramic upper ridge of Ježa, on which in few 10 strides we walk to the inscription box.
From the top of Ježa we continue on a marked path in the direction of the mountain hut Planinski dom pod Ježo. The path from the very peak immediately passes into the forest, through which is descending to a marked crossing. At the crossing, we continue left in the direction of Očna (straight mountain hut Planinski dom pod Ježo) and we continue on the more and more overgrown footpath. After few minutes at fallen spruce footpath entirely vanishes, and we follow the blazes, because those quickly take us to a wide cart track which we follow to the right. After few steps of walking on a cart track marked path on Deveti konfin branches off to the left (5 minutes), and we follow the cart track for few minutes, or all the way to its end at lonely wooden cottage.
From the cottage, by which there is also wide artificially carved tunnel, we continue on a path which starts ascending steeper through the forest and lane of bushes. After a short ascent on overgrown slope we quickly get to a concrete column on Očna.
From the column we continue few more 10 strides ahead and the path brings us out of the forest on a panoramic meadow.
