Stara Fužina - Koča na Uskovnici (via planina Blatce)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving in the direction of the lake Bohinj. In Ribčev Laz from a crossroad at the beginning of the lake Bohinj we continue right in the direction of Srednja vas, Studor and Stara Fužina. The road then leads us over a bridge and past the church of St. John the Baptist, few 100 meters further and we already get to Stara Fužina. In Stara Fužini at first we drive past the boarding house Lipa, apartments Triglav, bus stop, Mercator store, and then we get to a crossroad, by a chapel, where we continue on the left road in the direction of the parking lot, Korita Mostnice, Hudičevega most and mountain paths on the mountain pasture Blato and Vogar and the path into a valley Voje. From the crossroad some ascending follows, when the settlement ends, we get to payable parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
At the beginning of the parking lot the signs for gorge and waterfall Mostnice point us to the right on a wide path, on which in few minutes we get to Hudičev most (devil's bridge). We continue right (straight gorge Mostnice and Voje) over a bridge, after the bridge we go left on a footpath in the direction of Uskovnica. Already immediately, when we leave the road, the path starts ascending steeply through the forest. After few minutes, we cross a newer cart track, and then we continue ascending relatively steeply. Higher, the steepness starts gradually decreasing, and the path brings us in a smaller valley, where the path entirely flattens and it brings us out of the forest on the upper edge of the mountain pasture Blatce.
Here on a smaller saddle we continue left and quickly ascend to a macadam road which leads from Srednja vas or Studor v Bohinju towards Uskovnica. For some time we continue on the road, after that from the right joins a marked path from Srednja vas, little ahead we go left on a footpath in the direction of Uskovnica. The path ahead leads us past a trough with water, and about a minute higher we cross a macadam road. A short ascent through the forest follows, after that at a bench and a cross the path flattens, and few steps ahead we return on a macadam road. We continue walking on a gently sloping macadam road which for some time leads through the forest, when the forest ends we get to the mountain pasture Lom, where there are few cottages and where from the right side joins the second path from Srednja vas.
Gentle macadam road which at the crossroads we follow in the direction of Uskovnica, and then it brings us to a holiday cottages on Uskovnica, where only a little behind the trough with water we leave it and we continue left on a cart track in the direction of the mountain hut Koča na Uskovnici. After approximately 50 meters of the ascent on a cart track we reach the mountain hut Koča na Uskovnici, from there we can past the mogul meadows continue also to good 5 minutes distant chapel, from which a nice view opens up.
