Sveta Barbara (Nova Hrastnica) - Sveti Ožbolt (above Zminec)

Access to starting point:
A) From the road Medvode - Škofja Loka, at the beginning of Škofja Loka we drive in the direction of valley Poljanska dolina, and after the tunnel Sten we turn right towards Puštal. A little further, we go once again right, and then we drive through Puštal and valley Hrastnice. Asphalt road which leads us on the bottom of the valley, we then follow to a crossroad before the bus stop Nova Hrastnica, where the road branches off to the right towards Sveti Andrej. At the crossroad, where there aren't any parking spots, there is the beginning of the described path.
B) From the valley Poljanska dolina we drive towards Škofja Loka, and then before the tunnel Sten we turn left towards Puštal, and at the next crossroad, we go right. Further, we drive through Puštal and valley Hrastnice. Asphalt road which leads us on the bottom of the valley, we then follow to a crossroad before the bus stop Nova Hrastnica, where the road branches off to the right towards Sveti Andrej. At the crossroad, where there aren't any parking spots, there is the beginning of the described path.

Path description:
From the starting point, we go on an asphalt road in the direction of Sveti Andrej. The road immediately starts ascending steeper and leads us past few spots, where it is possible to park. A little higher beaten but unmarked footpath branches off to the right, which soon returns on the road, and after few steps, we again leave it. Next follows a little longer ascent through the forest and then we return on the road, on which we continue few minutes. Higher, the road turns sharply right, and a little ahead we leave it, because on the left we will notice the continuation of an unmarked path which continues on a little overgrown cart track. Few minutes ahead, the path turns right and it ascends steeper through more overgrown part, and above it we join the path which leads past the farm Krmelj-Blek.
We continue right and on a wider cart track we ascend to a crossing, where we reach a marked path which leads from the church of St. Andrej to the church of St. Ožbolt.
We continue left and then at the crossing we choose the left steeper cart track. Few minutes we walk on a cart track, and then we join the macadam road which we follow to the right, and it leads by the upper edge of a nearby hamlet, where we go also past the chapel. Behind the chapel, on a grassy part we continue straight or slightly left, and when worse road passes into the forest, we continue right upwards, at first by the edge of the forest and then through the forest on a forested ridge. Next follows few smaller crossings, where we follow the blazes, when we step out of the forest we go at first left and then right and we continue walking on the more and more panoramic cart track which leads us by the power line. Higher, we get to the farm Janšč, behind which we continue straight on a steep mountain path, on which in approximately 10 minutes we ascend to the church of St. Ožbolt.
