Access to starting point:
We drive into the center of Slovenska Bistrica, where at the traffic light crossroad we turn in the direction of health center and further we drive on the road Partizanska cesta. Next follows driving through the town, where we continue straight, at the periphery of the town, at the industrial zone we go on the road towards Tinje, Sveti Trije kralji and lake Črno jezero. Next follows an ascent on a little narrower asphalt road which starts ascending and at first leads past Lovska koča pizzeria Gams, higher we go also through the settlement Visole, and few kilometers higher we get to Zgornje Tinje, from where we follow the signs for ski slope Jakec - Trije kralji. We park on a parking lot by the foot of the ski slope, or near the Church of Holy Three Kings.
Path description:
From the starting point, we walk to the church of the Holy Three Kings and we continue in the direction of the lake Črno jezero and the path Urškina pot and we quickly get to the nearby ski slope, by which we short time continue, and then we cross it (while the ski slope operates we cross the ski track and ski lift higher - above the cableway and ski slope). The path ahead leads us past the weather station ARSO, and we still follow the blazes, and on connecting ski track in few minutes we get to another ski track, which we also cross (by the ski slope upwards Veliki vrh). Next follows also a crossing of a ski lift and one more ski track, and then the path comes into the forest, where after few minutes of additional walking, we get to the cross, by which there is a learning board of the path Urškina pot. The path ahead slowly descends and it brings us to a marked crossing, where we continue straight in the direction of waterfall Šumik and Ruše (left - lake Črno jezero and Osankarica).
We continue on a gently sloping path through the forest, which leads us via Peščena raven, and after the indistinct peak Trije studenci the path gradually starts descending. A little lower the forest gets thinner, and the path which for some time stops descending has several crossings, where we follow the blazes. After a shorter gentle ascent we again start descending and lower we reach a macadam road which leads from Areh towards Osankarica, and we only cross it and we continue the descent to the next road which we follow to the left (right - Ruška koča na Arehu), and then we quickly get to the starting point Bajgot na Šumiku, where right downwards one of the paths branches off towards Ruše (path Holcarska pot through the valley Lobnica).
We continue in the mentioned direction, by which there are also signs for waterfall Mali and Veliki Šumik (straight - estate Šumik, Koča na Klopnem vrhu...).
The path ahead starts lightly descending by Lobnica, and we soon get to warnings, that the path further is very steep and slippery. A little further, we over the footbridge cross Lobnica, and we are then descending on the right bank of Lobnica, where we gradually pass over on steeper slopes. Further at harder spots we get help from iron spikes and steel cables, and a little lower with the help of fixed safety gear we descend on a shorter wall. Below the wall the slope is still quite steep and dangerous for slipping, and we are descending mainly without fixed safety gear.
Even a little lower we get to the spot, where there is a stamp, and then we on a secured path descend to the vantage point for waterfall Veliki Šumik.
