Tivoli - Šišenski hrib (Rožnik) (by road)

Access to starting point:
From Celovška cesta in Ljubljana we drive on a large payable parking lot near park Tivoli.

Path description:
First, we walk to the end of parking lots where we then continue on the asphalt path which runs parallel with the railway and a cycling path. We follow this path to Jakopič Promenade which is in use also as a permanent outdoor gallery. On the mentioned promenade we continue towards the castle Tivoli, which we then bypass on the left side. Already few meters behind the castle we come to a crossroad, where we continue straight on an ascending road on which also red hiking signpost points us to. After a few minute walk road turns sharply right and then flattens a little. Higher, the road brings us to a crossroad where we cross a trim trail. Left, only few ten meters from the crossroad there is peak Tivolski vrh on which there are outdoor gym tools. We still continue on the macadam road which then brings us to a crossroad of several roads.
We continue on the most left road which after a shorter ascent starts descending and it quickly brings us to the next crossroad at the monument to fallen in war for Slovenia. Here we continue sharply right on an ascending road which after good 5 minutes of additional walking brings us to the top of Šišenski hrib, which is the highest peak of Rožnik.
