Tržič - Sveta Neža (Brezje pri Tržiču)

Access to starting point:
We leave Gorenjska highway at Podtabor junction, and then we follow the signs for Tržič. When we get to tržič before the post office Pošta Slovenije we turn left in the direction of health center Tržič, still before we cross river Tržiška Bistrica we go once again left and we drive to a larger marked parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we return to the road which runs towards the health center Tržič, and we cross river Tržiška Bistrica and stream Mošenik. After Mošenik before the building SGP Tržič we go left and we further follow the blazes, which lead us on a narrower asphalt road. The path ahead leads us below the main road which leads towards Ljubelj, and after some time we get through the underpass to the other side of the main road, so that we gradually ascend above it.
At the smaller crossroad at the wooden religious symbol we go slightly right, and the path is still moderately ascending. At the next crossroad, we go once again slightly right, and before the last house we go from the road slightly left on a marked path, which bypasses few houses on the left side. With nice views we reach another road, and there we continue to the nearby crossroad, where at the cross we go right in the direction of Dobrča.
At the next crossroads, we follow the blazes, and we gradually ascend above the last house, from where a beautiful view opens up. Next follows some crossing towards the left and then we get to a marked crossing by a bigger chapel.
Here before the chapel a path branches off to the right towards the castle Gutenberk (castle Hudi grad), also old Gutenberk or German Altgutenberg and one of the paths on Dobrča, and we go after the chapel right in the direction of Dobrča (left - church of St. Jurij).
Next follows few minutes of a diagonal descent on a macadam road, and when we reach the asphalt road Bistrica pri Tržiču - Begunje we follow it to the right. The road then leads us past the water catchment Žegnani studenec, and we follow an ascending asphalt road to the settlement Brezje pri Tržiču, where at the smaller crossroad we go on the upper right road. Next follows few minutes of ascent and we get to the church of St. Neža, from which a beautiful view opens up.
