Tuškov Grič - Medrce (by road)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Škofja Loka, and then we continue driving in the direction Železniki and Podbrdo. After Železniki, or just before the beginning of Zali Log, signs for Davča and ski center Cerkno point us to the left on the road which starts ascending by the river Davča. The road which higher has quite a few crossroads, we follow all the time in the direction of ski center Cerkno. When we get to the mentioned ski center, we continue driving for few 100 meters, to a large macadam parking lot Tuškov Grič.
B) From Bohinjska Bistrica or Podbrdo, first we drive into a valley of river Selška Sora, and then at the crossroad after the end of the settlement Zali Log we turn right in the direction of Davča and we continue driving on the road which starts ascending by the river Davča. The road which higher has quite a few crossroads, we follow all the time in the direction of ski center Cerkno. When we get to the mentioned ski center, we continue driving for few 100 meters, to a large macadam parking lot Tuškov Grič.
C) From the valley Poljanska dolina, at first we drive in Hotavlje, and from there we continue driving in the direction of ski center Cerkno. Further, we drive through the village Kopačnica, Leskovica and Robidnica. When we drive past the all mentioned villages, we get to a large parking lot Počivalo (parking lot by ski Cerkno), behind which the road starts descending. After a short descent, we get to the next crossing, where we continue right (left downwards Cerkno). We continue driving on the road which is ascending diagonally, and there we quickly get to a parking lot Tuškov Grič.
D) From the road Idrija - Tolmin, we go towards the settlement Cerkno, and then we continue driving in the direction of ski center Cerkno. Higher, we get to a crossroad, where the road towards the nearby parking lot Počivalo branches off to the right, and here we continue left in the direction of Davča. Next follows only a short diagonal ascent and the road brings us to the parking lot Tuškov Grič.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go on the road in the direction of waterfalls Davški slapovi, Porezen and sport fishing. The road at first moderately ascends, and then it flattens and for some time leads over panoramic meadows. Next follows a short descent and then few minutes of crossing to a crossroad on Razpotje (1068 meters).
From here we continue in the direction of Porezen (slightly left Kopa) and we continue the ascent on a macadam road which is ascending diagonally slightly towards the right. After few minutes, we come to a smaller hamlet, after which the road goes into the forest. Next follows an ascent on the forest road, and it quickly splits into two parts. We choose the left road, by which there are also signs for Porezen (right waterfalls Davški slapovi). The road then gradually flattens, and from there another path towards waterfalls Davški slapovi branches off to the right. We still continue straight, and we follow the road which at first runs through the forest to a grassy saddle Vrše. Few minutes before the mentioned meadow or saddle, from the left joins the path from Kopa, and we continue on the road which starts ascending on slopes of the nearby Hum (1423 meters). After 20 minutes ascent on the more and more panoramic slopes, we reach the ridge of Hum, where the path turns left and starts descending towards the saddle Velbnik (1331 meters). With a view on Porezen and nearby peak Medrce, we in few minutes descend on the mentioned small saddle, where from the left joins the path from hospital Franja or from Poljane.
Here we leave the road and we continue straight on a footpath in the direction of Porezen. The path ahead is at first moderately, and then steeply ascending on partly grassy slopes of Medrce. After few minutes of additional walking, we get to a smaller bunker, above which there is a panoramic, on the top with bushes vegetated peak.
