Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving towards Lake Bohinj and forward towards the ski slope Vogel. When from the main road, short road branches off to the left towards the bottom station of the cable car on Vogel, and we continue right and then we immediately park on larger payable parking lot.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the asphalt road towards the hotel Zlatorog. After few minutes of easy walking past the campsite Zlatorog Bohinj and past the information board of a circular path Zlatorog fairy trail, we get to hotel Zlatorog, and after the hotel, the path splits.
We continue in the direction of waterfall Savica (left waterfall Savica through Blato), and when a little further we cross river Savica, we once again continue left in the direction of waterfall Savica (right path around Lake Bohinj). For some time we continue on the asphalt road, and then yellow signs for waterfall Savica point us slightly right on a macadam path, which at first still leads past few cottages, and then passes into the forest. Through the forest, we are moderately ascending, and when higher the path flattens, we get to a marked crossing, where the path branches off to the right over Komarča, and we continue straight on a gently sloping path towards the mountain hut Koča pri Savici. Next we cross a bridge, and then we already get to the mountain hut Koča pri Savici.
