Ukanc - Koča pri Savici (via Blato)

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving towards Lake Bohinj and forward towards the ski slope Vogel. When from the main road, short road branches off to the left towards the bottom station of the cable car on Vogel, and we continue right and then we immediately park on larger payable parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the asphalt road towards the hotel Zlatorog. After few minutes of easy walking past the campsite Zlatorog Bohinj and past the information board of a circular path Zlatorog fairy trail, we get to hotel Zlatorog, and after the hotel, the path splits.
We continue on the left path in the direction of waterfall Savica through Blato (straight normal path to the waterfall Savica and the path around Lake Bohinj), where the path leads past the inn Erlah and past more apartments. At the crossings, we follow the yellow signs for path through Blato, and we soon pass into the forest, where we at first walk on a wide cart track. At the next yellow signs cart track narrows, crosses a torrent, and then starts moderately to occasionally steeply ascending. After few minutes of ascent, the path flattens, and then in few steps lightly descends to swampy lake, which we bypass on the right side. After the swamp path for few minutes ascends, and then it brings us out of the forest, on an ample meadow named Blato, where on the left we notice one more lake. Here we continue straight through a meadow, and then past few houses and smaller chapel we reach the main road which leads towards the mountain hut Koča pri Savici.
We continue with the ascent on the mentioned road, where because of some blind curves more caution is needed. We follow this road all the way to the mountain hut Koča pri Savici, which we reach after few minutes of additional walking.
