Velenje (Stari trg) - Sveti Jakob (Jakec) (on mountain trail)

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Maribor we go to the exit Žalec, and then we continue driving in the direction Velenje.
In Velenje at the second (main) roundabout, below the ski jumping hill, we continue straight (2nd exit) in the direction of Šoštanj - Mozirje.
At the traffic light crossroad we turn left and then immediately right on a parking lot (parking is free).

b) From Koroška direction we drive through Slovenj Gradec towards Velenje. In Velenje at first (main) roundabout, below the ski jumping hill,
we continue right (1st exit) in the direction of Šoštanj - Mozirje.
At the traffic light crossroad we turn left and then immediately right on a parking lot (parking is free).

Path description:
We go to the end of the parking lot in the direction of west, where on the left side we notice the beginning of a steep path into the forest.
The steepness at the beginning quickly decreases and we walk on a well-beaten forest path by the slope of Gradišče.
The path is well marked. On some parts, the path splits and higher joins again.
When we come out of the forest, we notice the church of St. Jakob. We follow the asphalt road to the top.
