Access to starting point:
The starting point is in front of the fire station in Velika Ilova Gora. To here we can come, if we leave the highway in Grosuplje and we follow the signs for Mlačevo, Videm. At the beginning of the village Veliko Mlačevo we have two options. We can continue straight towards Luče and after 4km we turn right at the sign for Ilova Gora. Or we can go at the crossroad right (direction Račna) on the main road through Radensko polje and soon after the village Čušperk we turn left following signs Mala Ilova Gora. Both roads in ascent bring us to the village Velika Ilova Gora, where we park in front of the fire station.
Path description:
From the fire station we ascend past the church on the main asphalt road upwards through the village. When the road turns left, it soon becomes a macadam and passes into the forest. After few minutes of walking, we get to the house, where on the right behind the big cherry tree we notice a poorly visible cart track through the meadow upwards. We go through a meadow, and then the path again passes into the forest. We follow it straight for few minutes, and we soon notice the peak with a flag. Views open up towards the southeast (valley of Krka), south (Korinjski vrh, Hočevje), southwest (Grmada, Kamen Vrh, Sveta Ana, Snežnik) and east (Ostri Vrh with a flag).
