Velika vrata - Mala Plešivica

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Kozina and follow a road ahead in the direction of Reka. In the village Obrov we turn right in the direction of village Golac. After few kilometers of driving, we come in the mentioned village, where we continue right (straight Zagrad) and the road which at the end of the village becomes a macadam we follow towards Velika vrata. Higher from the left side joins the path from the village Zagrad (access is possible also on this road), and we continue straight and we follow the road to a saddle Velika vrata, where we park (Velika vrata is located at the road sign 8km).

Path description:
From Velika vrata we continue on the left road with a name Blejska cesta. The road which ascends in few hairpin turns we leave in a sharp left turn, where caption on rock points us right on a cart track. After few minutes of the ascent cart track ends, and we continue the ascent on a marked footpath which past the water supply brings us on the more and more panoramic slopes. This panoramic path, which higher crosses a short lane of pine forest we follow all the way to the top of Mala Plešivica.
