Vršič - Prisank / Prisojnik (via Kajzljeva škrbina)

Access to starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, we drive towards Bovec or vice versa, but only to mountain pass Vršič, where we park.

Path description:
On Primorska side of the parking lot, we will notice a little narrower, at first still asphalt road on which in few 10 strides we walk to the mountain hut Tičarjev dom na Vršiču.
From the mountain hut Tičarjev dom we continue on a macadam road, on which we start moderately ascending over panoramic slopes. With a view on surrounding peaks, we quickly get to a marked crossing.
Here we continue right in the direction of Prisank and Razor (straight on the road mountain hut Poštarski dom and the peak Vršič) and we continue on a well-beaten mountain path, which for some time continues on gentle and panoramic ridge. After few minutes, the path starts ascending steeper through thinner lane of dwarf pines, and then it flattens and brings us right below top of grassy Sovna glava.
We continue straight (few steps to the right on pathless terrain we can ascend on panoramic grassy peak Sovna glava) and we moderately descend to the saddle between Prisojnik and Sovna glava, where from the left joins the path from the mountain hut Erjavčeva koča na Vršiču or path branches off to the left on Prisojnik through the window Prednje okno (path Kopiščarjeva pot).
From smaller saddle we continue slightly right in the direction of Prisojnik and we continue on the scree. Further over the scree we cross slopes on the west side of Prisojnik. The path ahead a little steeper ascends and it brings us to the spot, where the path Grebenska pot on Prisank branches off to the left, and in the direction of straight continues the path which leads on Razor, Pogačnikov dom and Prisank (Prisank - Južna, Slovenska and Jubilejna pot).
We continue straight, and the path becomes less steep and we are again very quickly at the crossing. This time we continue left following the signs »Prisojnik (Slovenska pot), Kajzljeva škrbina – Zadnji Prisojnik«, right leads the path towards Mlinarica and Razor.
From the crossing, we then for some time in ascent cross more and more panoramic grassy slopes towards the east and from the right side joins also poorly beaten footpath from Mlinarica. And only a little after that, we come to another crossing.
This time path Slovenska pot on Prisojnik branches off to the left upwards, and we continue straight following the signs »Zvoniki, 2. window v Zad. Prisojniku«. The path for some time crosses grassy slopes, after that also our path turns slightly to the left and starts ascending steeper. Here on some spots we also get help from a steel cable. Further, the path still mostly in ascent crosses slopes on the south side of Prisojnik and in doing so it crosses few shorter scree and gullies. Higher slopes, which we cross become even a little more steep and the path is on some spots also slightly exposed. And on hardest parts there's a steel cable for help. When we come on the eastern side of Zvoniki path turns a little to the left and then follows an ascent on a rocky slope to the notch Kajzljeva škrbina where a view opens up on the northern side.
On the notch where we join the path Jubilejna pot on Prisank we continue left and we pass over on steeper northern slopes. Further follows some exposed crossing, and later we steeply ascend and we again reach southern slopes of the mountain. We continue slightly right upward and we soon join paths Slovenska pot and Grebenska pot on Prisank. From here follows only a shorter ascent on the southern slope to a very panoramic summit.
