Zabukovica - Gozdnik

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Celje we go to the exit Žalec and follow the road ahead towards Žalec. In Žalec we continue right towards Šempeter, but only to a crossroad, where the road towards Griže and Zabukovica branches off to the left. When we come in the village Migojnice, we continue straight towards Zabukovica. Towards the end of the village Zabukovica we come to a crossroad, where the road towards the hunting cottage Gozdnik branches off to the right, here we continue on the left road which a little behind the sign for the end of Bukovica, brings us to the next crossroad, where we continue right, in the direction of Pongrac from number 147-170a. When this road a little higher brings us to a crossroad two roads, we park on a parking lot by the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot by the road, we continue on the left upper road which after 20 minutes of walking, it brings us to the saddle between Kotečnik on the left and Gozdnik on the right. Here we continue right, on a poorly visible footpath, through a meadow in the direction of Gozdnik. On the top of a meadow, the path which turns left, again becomes more visible and passes on a cart track which ascends diagonally. After few minutes, the cart track changes into a steep footpath which higher brings us on grassy slopes, at the farm Spodnji Beškovnik. The path through a meadow is badly marked, but in nice weather there aren't any problems with orientation. On the top of a meadow we come to two smaller houses and the forest road which we only cross. The path ahead is ascending, on a wide with a forest covered east ridge of Gozdnik. The path which occasionally a little steeper ascends, mostly through the forest, quickly brings us to the top of Gozdnik.
