Žaga - Dom na Kisovcu (via Strmina)

Access to starting point:
From Kamnik we drive towards Gornji Grad or Črnivec. In Stahovica at the crossroad we turn right (Gornji Grad). We drive past hamlets Črna, Potok and Podstudenec to a hamlet Žaga. In the village Žaga forest road branches off to the left, here is beginning of the path (on the opposite side there is right turn-off for Podstudenec). In the village there isn't any space for parking, therefore we drive approx. 100 meters ahead, where on the right side there is a large space for dumping logs - here we can park, but the way we don't hinder possible forestry work.

Path description:
At the beginning of forest path we immediately see first blaze right on rock. We follow the road approx. 100 meters, when steep cart track with signpost "pl. Kisovec" branches off to the right (unmarked path, full of crossings). We go ahead straight and after few minutes we come to a torrent which we cross. Immediately we then turn right upward over the slope with fallen trees. Here the path is impossible to follow even though on individual rocks are blazes still visible. We stick to direction by a torrent upwards and a little more left. After approx. 100 meters we come on diagonal footpath towards the left, where we again notice the blazes. We stick to poorly beaten path, we get help from frequent blazes. Soon we get to the first fallen trees, we bypass it in long turn left or right. The path again becomes more gentle, to the second fallen trees. Here it is best, that we go before fallen trees right steep upwards and we catch marked path, which comes from the left. We continue on an indistinct ridge, then right in slope past a source to rock, where there is a nice view. At rock left, on a grassy slope over rocks and diagonally upwards past rocky column. Before column we cross beaten path. Upwards steep over a slope named Strmina. At rock with the caption "ŽAGA" we turn left. The path is winding among low bushes and trees on an indistinct edge. We soon step out of the forest and notice a mountain hut on the mountain pasture Kisovec.
