Zagrad - Ostrič

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Kozina and follow a road ahead in the direction of Reka. In the village Obrov we turn right in the direction of village Golac from which we continue driving towards the hamlet Zagrad. In Zagrad we continue left and the road which becomes a macadam we follow to the spot, where we notice a sign that is prohibiting additional driving (forest road use at your own risk). We park here on a smaller parking lot by the road.

Path description:
Only few meters before the traffic sign we notice a cart track which from the road goes to the right and starts at first gently ascending (beginning isn't marked). We soon notice a first blaze, which shows us, that we are on the right path. Further, we are moderately ascending on a cart track which higher passes out of the forest on grassy slopes surrounded by individual trees (mostly pine tree). The path here flattens and a little further turns slightly to the right, where we also come to a marked crossing.
We continue in the direction of Ostrič, Slavnik and Razsušica (left pond 30 minutes) on the path which starts ascending towards the indistinct saddle between Ostrič on the left and less known Griža on the right. We follow this path to the spot, where we will in front of us notice a larger sinkhole. Here cart the track continues straight, and marked footpath turns to the left and starts ascending steeply on an unvegetated slope of Ostrič. This for a short time more steep path we follow all the way to the peak of Ostrič from which a nice view opens up.
